This collection is inspired by the moon gates often found in Chinese and Japanese gardens. They represent many things, from the rising of the moon, the cycle of life and death, birth and renewal, or a connection to other planets or worlds, to name a few. In Bermuda, it is good luck for a newly wed couple to walk through a moon gate after getting married.

For these reasons, I based the design of this collection on these structures to symbolise the rustic beauty of the gate, and to wish good luck to couples who own one for themselves.
