The start of my design process for this project. May look just like scribbles, but shapes are pulled out to later start a design.
For the inspiration of this project, I decided to use the last theme of my work, Japanese zen gardens, and incorporate this into another theme; Rollercoasters, to influence my outcome. I decided to use this for inspiration as I like the rollercoaster rails, and how they could be manipulated into a design that would fulfill the specifications of the competition brief.
I will use the forms found in the rollercoasters, and combine them with the shapes and lines influenced by raked gravel in the Japanese zen gardens.
Hello, and welcome to my blog!
In these first few entries, i will be documenting the design process of one of my university briefs - To create a sculptural piece, that has either a moving piece, movable piece, or mobile parts. I need to explore the potential that the new technology of CAD offers, show i have both proficiency in modelling techniques and a clear understanding of manufacturing knowledge.
Stay tuned to see what comes!
